Dates:
The dates are August 16, 17, 18 & 19, 2001, Thursday through Sunday.
Charity:
A portion of all the proceeds, including registration and compilation
cd, will benefit the SIBL
Project (Musicians Joining the Fight for Literacy) which funds 26
adult literacy programs in the Bay Area, through songs inspired by literature.
Please check out their site. You could win $2500!
Bands:
ALL BANDS MUST APPLY ONLINE. To be considered
for a spot on the Weekend, you must submit by July 16, 2001. Any band
in Northern California, from Santa Cruz to Chico, is welcome to submit
to play the Wild Weekend. Your music will not be returned after submission.
You will be notified shortly thereafter.
Genres:
All styles of music, solo, acoustic, band, electronic, funk, pop, rock
etc. are welcome to apply.
Clubs:
We will be using clubs throughout San Francisco. If you are a local
promoter and want to get involved, contact us.
Compilation
CD: SFmusician.com
will be producing a compilation of this year's bands. The compilation
will be serviced to the industry and sold at shows. If selected, you
will need to sign an agreement allowing Nadine's Wild Weekend to include
your music on the compilation. The agreement is on the APPLY
page.
Passes: There will be industry passes available after July 1,
online. Otherwise, each show will be a seperate admission.
Registration:
There is a $20 processing fee for each submission.
